"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." John Lennon
Anyone else feel like that today? If we lived in some remote place all by ourselves, perhaps (and even then...) we might manage to stick to our priorities, plans and to do lists. But, I know I would be lonely and far less creative than I am in the "real world". Life and our relationships with others are often more complicated and more unpredictable than we would like, but that really is "real life". We learn to be patient, take things one day at a time. We become masters in adaptation. Do you know what Darwin said?
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change."
I think Darwin would be shocked today to see all the changes we human beings have produced and adapted to. We are really quite extraordinary!
So, while I am off adapting to the various things that have interrupted my blogging plans, I leave you with this cute video that my daughter Jackie took of our cat adapting to technology!

Lol, that cat is too funny Laurie! :) Yeah, I gave up on lists a couple of years ago... life almost always has different ideas for me! It almost became a waste of time. ;) Yesterday my day took so many unexpected twists and turns I could barely keep up... so much for the blog post I had planned. Maybe tomorrow. ;)
Glad to know I'm not alone Melinda! I know the sooner I learn to go one day at a time, the happier I'll be. It's a work in progress!
Lol ~ some things are harder to learn (and remember!) than others! I forgot to mention that I shipped out our squares today, so expect a package soon. :)
So true! Life is so unpredictable that trying to control it would be too stressful. Adapting is always a good thing with the crazy things life throws at us!
I love your cat clip! He/she reminds me of my girl who is part siamese, fluffy and blue eyed too (and playful like yours).
Thank you so much for the laugh today Laurie! That video was great!

Oh Melinda! That's great! I can't wait!!
Thanks for stopping by Miss Val! I love your butterfly post!
One of the many advantages of kids and pets, Valerie. They always find a way to make us smile!
You are right, Laurie. We have become masters of adaptation and there is beauty to it thaPlease, write several sentences about you and your shop/blog that I would be able to include in the Kanelstrand Newsletter sponsors spotlight.t at first is unnoticeable.
I almost feel like I am living on a remote island and honestly, I still have to make changes and adaptations... so, wherever we are, we have to - I guess that is what keeps us going!
You know I was thinking about you when I wrote this Sonya! Because we can adapt, we will survive. But, I know we won't just survive. We will be happy!!
Haha, that kitty is priceless! Pets can be such great entertainment. ;D
And that quote by John Lennon is so true! Half the time when you make plans, something unexpected comes up and your day suddenly goes in a completely different direction. But sometimes, the spontaneous stuff can be more fun than if you'd gone along with your plans! Like when my grampa comes over out of the blue and asks if I want to go kayaking then and there. It's unexpected, but always so much fun!
Great post, Laurie!
Thanks so much Taylor! How lucky you are to have a grampa like that! Some of the best things are definitely spontaneous!
